My favorite holiday

Hello my name is Juliana and today I would like to talk about my favorite holiday. I have to say that my favorite one is New Year’s Day. This is because I can travel to my hometown, Cali, and visit my family. I enjoy spending time with my mother, father and brothers. I also enjoy seeing my three cats Maxima, Filipa and Geordana and playing with them. At night, we have a great dinner at home. My mother is an excellent cooker and her food is really delicious. We eat tamale and traditional desserts such as rice pudding and natilla, which is a Colombian corn pudding. After dinner, we listen to traditional Colombian New Year’s eve music and wait until 12 to congratulate each other and have a toast with white wine to celebrate being one more year together.
